Twelve members of the Dartmouth faculty are on leave of absence during the seculty semester. Six others have returned from first-semester leave, while ten continue their leave for the full year.

Faculty members away on second-semester leave include Robert M. Bear, assistant professor of Education; Rees H. Bowen, professor of Sociology; Francois Denoeu, assistant professor of French; F. Cudworth Flint, assistant professor of English; Malcolm Keir, professor of Economics; Joseph L. MacDonald, professor of Economics and Foreign Trade; Dr. Ralph E. Miller, associate professor of Pathology; L. Dean Pearson, assistant professor of English; Anton A. Raven, assistant professor of English; James P. Richardson, Parker Professor of Law and Political Science; Prescott O. Skinner, professor of Romance Languages; and William R. Waterman, professor of History.

Members of the faculty who have returned from first-semester leave are Harold M. Bannerman, professor of Geology; Ralph A. Burns, professor of Education; Arthur H. Chivers, professor of Biology; Michael E. Choukas, assistant professor of Sociology; David Lambuth, professor of English; and Harry L. Purdy, assistant professor of Economics. Eric P. Kelly, professor of Journalism, who was to have returned this semester, has had his firstsemester leave extended throughout the year.
