Local Items: Eddie and Virginia Bowen took an early vacation, which they spent in Florida. From all that I can gather most of their time was spent flitting from one baseball training camp to another. After a very close surveillance Ed contends that the Brooklyn Dodgers have the pennant in the bag. (About August first.) He'll probably deny ever having said this.

Seen at the Dartmouth Musical Clubs concert in Albany: Bowen, Stan Conway, Ned Deßouville, and Don Mac Donald.

New England News:

The Metropolitan Pontiac Cos. has opened modern new quarters in Boston. Its president and general manager is none other than Dana Eaton. I can hardly see hordes of Pontiacs at our Twentieth.

The following was forwarded to me by Ben Ayres:

"The following members of the class of1920 sat together at the 1920 table at theDartmouth alumni dinner at the CopleyPlaza Hotel on Tuesday evening, February25,1936. The matter of the murals at BakerHall came up for discussion, and it wasunanimously voted that by reason of theunfitness of the murals as a permanent display at Dartmouth they should be forthwith removed or withdrawn from sight.

"It was also a vote that the record of theposition of this group should be sent tothe DARTMOUTH ALUMNI MAGAZINE forpublication. The members of the class whowere present were: Benjamin W. Ayres,George Macomber, Ernest F. Tilson, R.A.Sunergren, Olney S. Morrill, Dr. E. E.Fipphen, Robert B. Dow, Hibbard Richter."

Personally, I don't agree with the above. A year or so ago a very competent student guide interpreted the murals for me in such a way that I am sold on the idea. What are the feelings of other Twenty's?

Al Frey reports that Bill and Mrs. Carter won second prize in a waltz contest recently held in Hanover. I often wondered what ex-trackmen did for exercise. Rumor hath it that the Holbrooks ranked high in the minuet.

Born to Dr. and Mrs. J. Almus Russell of Colchester, Conn., at the Hartford Hospital, March 31, 1936, a son, Charles Tupper Russell.

New York, Chicago, Cleveland, at alibi News:

There must be plenty of it but it's all carefully concealed from me.
