The class of '99 attended an auction in Wolfeboro, N. H., one Saturday in July. Present and bidding were George G. Clark, Clarence Joy, Guy Speare, Peddy Miller, Rodney Sanborn, and Warren Kendall.

Mrs. Helen Parker, Frances Parker, Mrs. Helen Kendall, and Roberta Kennedy were guests at the wedding of Frances Hawkes at York Village, Me., August 18.

Rodney Sanborn spent the summer at Stoneywall, Ossipee, N. H. Warren Kendall reports seeing the well-dressed Rodney garbed in a short, two sneakers, and a smile busily picking blueberries. Joe Gannon is the author of New Hampshire's slogan: "New Hampshire, Land of Scenic Splendor." For a New Yorker, that is not bad.

September callers on the Secretary were Louis P. Benezet on his way to visit a granddaughter in Connecticut and Bill Wiggin, rushing through to Great Barrington, Mass.

Time of September 27 has an article which begins by saying, "What this country needs is more bum music," and goes on to describe several groups of amateurs in Baltimore who meet regularly and play. Among the groups described is a "Sunday Night Group" organized by Editor Hamilton Owens of the Sun, which includes Dr. Raymond Pearl, his daughter, Mrs. Gardner Jencks, and her husband. Another group of which "Ray" Pearl is a member is the Saturday Night Club, organized by H. L. Mencken, who plays the piano. Baltimore would enjoy John Raymond Pearl's Silver Cornet Band, as much as we did in 1899, for it made no "bum" music.

George Evans has returned to his new address—ll Park Ave., W. Somerville, Mass., after spending the summer in Fryeburg, Me., where George has been working on the colonial records of Fryeburg.

Edward R. Skinner has a new connection in Worcester, Mass. He is with C. E. Peters Cos., 74 Chandler St., and has moved his home to 135 Massasoit Rd., Worcester, Mass.

Wesley W- Jordan has moved from Windsor to Hanover, N. H. You will find him at 25 School St. Samuel J. Smith has moved from Windsor, Vt., to North Hanover, Mass. The mail address is Box 15.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Wardle announce the marriage of their daughter Rosemary to Mr. George Horace Knox, Sept. 20, 1937, at Grand Mere, P. Q. The young people will live at 203 Curtis St., Meriden, Conn.

A letter from Warren Kendall reports a visit with Walt Eastman in Chicago, Oct. 2. Warren has just been to Spokane, Wash., and is off again to be in San Francisco, Oct. 15. He's the wandering boy, all right.

Secretary, 31 Parker St., Gardner, Mass.
