YALE WINS OVERTIME CONTEST
February 1937 PATRICK O'SHEEL '37

Beating a strong Boston College team on Davis Rink 5-3 on January 13th, the Big Green moved into New Haven on the 16th. The Yale team that they met that night was "on" and after a storming battle that found the score knotted at 3-3, the Elis scored after seven minutes of overtime to take the decision. Costello scored twice, Foster once, and Allen and Feeley had assists. Otis and Bennett continued strong on the defense in front of the brilliant net-minding of Goding.

With the Indians unexpectedly resting at the foot of the League ladder, Coach Gill's problem remains to find two regular starting lines. The move that placed Otis and Bennett at defense is not yet a permanent one, since Feeley may be shortly returned to the defensive. The Indians need very little to put them consistently in the win columns; they should be there when play resumes after the exam period.
