Where is George M. (Muff) Coffin?

From the Alumni Records Office in Hanover has come the following plaintive note concerning the gentleman hereinbefore mentioned: Lost—unable to secure his address from any source. Perhaps a note inyour column might reach someone whoknows his whereabouts.

Come on now. Come clean. It won't do you, Muff, or the Alumni Records Office any good to just stand there twiddling your thumbs.

We have just received the belated announcement of the marriage on May 23, 1936, in Brooklyn N. Y„ of Mrs. Laurence Bershad's daughter June to Dr. RalphAlexander. Ralph has finished his course at Columbia (P & S) and has begun his interneship.

Hal Smith has given up the Treasury Department nonsense and has settled to rest at the manager's desk of the First Federal Savings and Loan Bank in fabled Waterbury. It is not a federal institution, as the name carefully implies, but is a purely local proposition which makes very conservative loans on carefully selected properties. Hal recently refused to buy two tickets to the Policeman's Ball. Not a very political move, but it just shows you what a tough bird he is to deal with.

The lately domesticated Mackey sends news of Bill Quinn. Bill graduated last June from the Western Reserve Law School, where he had a "hell of a good timewith a little education thrown in." He passed his bar exams in January and is now associated with his father in the practice of the law in Canton, Ohio. At the last report, the clients were "a bit slow in coming in."

Bill is looking forward to the reunion next year and plans definitely to attend.

Luckily for you I have just returned from the University Club, where Bun Mudge filled me full of squash (the game), dinner, and class news.

Bun is working for the Aetna Life Insurance Co. He is not only doing a good job, but he looks as fit as he did on the day he tangled with half the sophomore class (the larger half) in that historic battle of South Fayerweather Hall.

He had news of another participant in that epic struggle .... one Bill Fuller. Bill married Virginia Smith of Westfield, Mass., three years ago on the eve of the Harvard-Dartmouth football game. He is now v.p. and treasurer of the American Abrasive Co. in that same Westfield.

Bun also told me that Stirl Wheeler had left Lever Bros, to work for the Universal Winding Co. in Providence.

He didn't know what they wound.

I'm looking forward to that annual spring upswing in the letter writing racket.

Secretary, 64 Cooke St., Waterbury, Conn.
