LOGS jammed the Connecticut from shore to shore at the Ledyard J Bridge and crossing on them was a popular stunt.

June was certainly a month of election days. S. D. Rose 'l3 was elected president of the Aero Club with C. A. Edson 'l4, vice president Fred Gannon 'l3 elected president of the Press Club with F. D. Hale 'l4 the vice president The call for freshman candidates for business manager of The Dartmouth was issued S. A. Stavrum 'l3 was elected president of the Webster Club, Dana Waterman 'l3, vice president and H. H. Semmes 'l3, secretary. . . . . E. A. Davis 'l3 was elected editorin-chief of The Literary Magazine, D. A. Thompson 'l3, business manager and D. E. Adams'l3 contribution editor The Outing Club chose C. E. Shumway 'l3, president; M. C. Avery 'l3, vice president; and J. Y. Cheney 'l3, secretary.

With Dave Morey in top form with fine control, and the whole team playing fast ball, the Green blanketed Tufts 3 to o. .... Then followed Dartmouth 6 Yale 5 and for the yearlings Exeter 6 Dartmouth Freshman 0. The season, except for the Commencement games, was over.

At the Olympic trials in the Stadium, Marc Wright 'l3 made a new world's record in the pole vault, 13 feet 314 inches. Jake Enright 'l3 qualified in the high jump and on June 14th both sailed from New York for Sweden—Black "Pete" Walker, rubber, accompanied the B. A. A. relay squad.

A. H. Tilley was elected captain of track, Dave Morey captain of baseball, W. H. Mason captain of hockey and William M. Gibson captain of basketball.

. . . . The Athletic Council announced assistant managerial positions: Page Junkins, football; Ray H. Trott, baseball; Harold A. Stiles, track; Sigurd S. Larmon, basketball; William B. Slater, hockey; James C. Blythe, tennis; Charles K. Fuller, freshman football; Leland S. Bullis, frosh baseball and Henry A. Koelsch Jr., track.

The time honored Wet Down followed the Sing Out in Rollins Chapel on the fourteenth—after the classes had partaken of the keg of lemonade and it had been tipped over in usual custom. Doc O'Connor '12 presented the Senior' Fence with much oratory and it was accepted by Clarence Meleney 'l3.

Commencement started with the prize speaking in A Dartmouth. Hugh Francis Lena 'l2 won the Barge Gold Medal and the first Class of '66 Prize went to S. A. Stavrum 'l3 and the second prize to W. C. Gilbert 'l4. Professor L. S. Hastings presided On Sunday Rev. Charles Reynolds Brown, Dean of Yale Divinty School, delivered the Baccalaureate Sermon in the College Church. .... Class Day exercises on Monday brought forth Sachem Orator H. L. Armes, Class Orator T. L. Brennock, Class Poet W. W. Flint Jr. and Class Odist W. L. White H. F. Lena gave the address to the Old Pine, D. B. O'Connor the address to the President and H. K. Urion the address to the Old Chapel "The Green Parasol" delighted the Commencement guests in the evening in Webster Hall.

In Tuesday's baking sun Amherst took the game 9 to 8 in a weird exhibition of baseball. Amherst had won at its own Commencement the day before 3 to 0 Some attended the President's reception in the Administration Building and the Musical Clubs Concert in the evening The Commencement Exercises on Wednesday were followed by the ball in the gym, although most of the reuners had left town the day before.
