100 SECRETARIES ATTEND MEETINGS; COMMENCEMENT SPEAKERS;COLLEGE TO RECEIVE $350,000; SENIOR FELLOWS NAMED

The 33rd annual meetings of the Dartmouth Secretaries Association were held in Hanover over the week-end of May 7 and 8, with the record number of 100 class and club leaders present as guests of the College. Business sessions were conducted in the 1902 Room of Baker Memorial Library on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning under the direction of C. Jerry Spaulding '24, president of the Association. The annual dinner meeting was held in Stell Hall on Friday evening, with President Hopkins and Donald C. McKinlay '37, secretary-chairman of the senior class, as speakers. At that time the awards for the best club and class secretaries of the year were made to Wellington F. Barto '29 who is secretary of the Dartmouth Club of Washington, and Francis H. Horan, secretary of the class of 1922.

HOBAN NEW PRESIDENT

Officers of the Association for the year 1937-38 were elected as follows: Owen A. Hoban '99 of Gardner, Mass., president; F. William Andres 'ay of Boston, Mass., vice president; and Sidney C. Hayward '26 of Hanover, secretary-treasurer.

An executive committee was elected consisting of these three officers and John C. Allen '23 of New York City and DeLong H. Monahan '24 of Philadelphia. Mr. Hayward was re-elected editor of the DARTMOUTH ALUMNI MAGAZINE, Warde Wilkins 13 of Boston was elected Alumni Council representative of the Secretaries Association for a term of three years, and Basil L. Winslow '20 of San Francisco, California, was elected a member of the Advisory Committee of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE for three years to succeed Mr. Horan.
