In a friendly but firm way the ALUMNIMAGAZINE has been asked to vacate its three rooms in Crosby Hall, where it has subsisted since 1949, and move downtown. The three rooms, such as they are, are needed for personnel and records involved in Dartmouth's forthcoming campaign for $140 (or so) million. So, as of early July, the Magazine will move two long blocks south to well-lighted second-floor quarters in a place called the Hanover Improvement Society Building, which is next to the Nugget and across the street from the post office.

Another development, one recommended by our board of advisers and approved by the Class Secretaries Association, our official publisher, is that next year the ALUMNI MAGAZINE'S publication frequency will be reduced from ten to nine issues. This will be accomplished by combining the January and February issues. Reason: to save money and keep the Magazine self-supporting. Nine issues a year at a class subscription rate of less than $5 still isn't a bad bargain.
