The tide of empire may flow westward, but the tide (or rather untied) of '92 flows south. Bliss and Mrs. Bliss are down at their Mississippi home; Baldwin is supposed to be in Georgia—although I have no documentary evidence of this; and McDuffee (W. V.) and Mrs. McDuffee are at St. Petersburg, Fla. A recent note from McDuffee says there are three fathers and mothers of Dartmouth graduates at his hotel (Morgan-Ten Eyck), and that in March there will be a Dartmouth alumni dinner at St. Petersburg. Last year they had seventy-two present.
As this number of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE goes to every '92 man I take the opportunity of sending you all my greetings and to beg you to let me hear from you that I may pass on the news of your doings through these notes. Now that my comings and goings are rather restricted, it is difficult to pick up items of interest unless you do perhaps more than your share in keeping me posted. Remember we are all interested in your doings and those of the second and third generation. Any fourth generation yet?
