Mrs. Florence P. Doty died at Montpelier, Vt., on the morning of April 19 after a long illness. Mrs. Doty was a faithful attendant at our reunions and was much missed last June. The deepest sympathy of the class will be extended to Doty.
The Readers' Digest for May contains an article by B. Emerson on the way to keep fit. No doubt he follows his own rules, and if he does that is enough to prove they are good ones. B. certainly looks in the pink, and still keeps the youngsters hustling in a squash game.
Through said Emerson, by the way, comes the news that Sam and Mrs. Baldwin are both in good health again and expect to be in Magnolia (Mass.), this summer. This is an old and favorite stamping ground of theirs.
The Missionary Herald, an official organ of the Congregational denomination, carries in its May number a sketch and an excellent picture of James Sargent. The article is a tribute to Sargent for the admirable work he has done as financial secretary of the Vermont Conference. The record which he has made there is certainly most creditable. According to this report, Jim is to retire on October 1 of this year. We are all coming to it!
