Thanksgiving Unchanged

IN KEEPING WITH New England tradition, and with a College calendar drawn up far in advance, Dartmouth will observe Thanksgiving on the last Thursday of the month, November 30. Thanksgiving recess will extend from Nov. 29 to Dec. 4.

Two important changes have been made in this year's College calendar. A mid-year recess of a week will be held following firstsemester final examinations, with Winter Carnival scheduled to be held on the weekend of the recess period from February 5 to 10. In the other change, the pre-examination reading periods have been eliminated in order to lengthen the examination periods from ten days to two weeks. The changes were effected following administrative conferences with Palaeopitus and other student representatives.

THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF PRIZE-WINNING MODEL CABIN IN CONTEST FOR ALUMNI DESIGNS Submitted by Larry Lougee '29 and Myles Lane '2B, rewarded with set of L. B. Richardson's "History of Dartmouth College," thisminiature model of the "ideal Dartmouth cabin" is complete to tiny dishes, fireplace and chimney made of pebbles, miniature bunks,and small hooked rug. Mr. Lougee plans to build a full-sized replica of his model at Moosehead Lake, with the help of Ross McKenney, D. O. C. Technician, guide, woodsman, and construction boss at the new Ravine Camp at Moosilauke. The whining plans inthe Cabin Contest will be published and described in later issues of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE.

"Hundred Percenters" With the addition of 1882, 1893, and 1908 to the list of classes participating in the 100% Group Subscription Plan, the ALUMNI MAGAZINE now has a total of 54 classes enrolled for a circulation of approximately 14,000.
