DR. PERCY BARTLETT, who resigned from active teaching this fall after 35 years on the Dartmouth Medical School faculty, was voted the rank of Professor of Surgery Emeritus at the annual fall meeting of the Board of Trustees on October 27.
Dr. Bartlett started his teaching career at Dartmouth in 1904 as instructor in Anatomy and Surgery. In 1915 he was promoted to the rank of Professor of Surgery, a position which he filled up to the time of his resignation. He graduated from Bowdoin in 1892 and received his doctorate of medicine from the Dartmouth Medical School in 1900. Before coming to Hanover permanently in 1904 he was a physician at the Boston City Hospital. Dr. Bartlett passed his 68 th birthday last April. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, and of Phi Beta Kappa and Delta Kappa Epsilon.
