ON THURSDAY, Feb. 23, eighty-four Dartmouth men gathered for dinner at Putnam & Thurston's Restaurant and listened to Harry Ellinger, line coach, talk on "The 1938 Season from the Bench." Harry was introduced by Clarence McDavitt 'OO who, as former chairman of the Athletic Council, gave us interesting sidelights on the selection of the present football coaching staff.

At the head table sat Jack McAuliffe 'l6, Jim Donnelly 'O5, Parker Trowbridge 'l3, Jim Conroy 'll, Had Presson '2l, Lem Hodgkins 'OO, Owen Hoban '99, Clarence McDavitt 'OO, Sherm Baldwin '23, and A 1 Marsters '3O.

We are hoping that this is the beginning of a series of enthusiastic meetings. About 25 of those present came from the surrounding towns.

The Club was surprised and delighted to welcome A 1 Marsters as a member. He is attorney for the American Optical Cos. in Southbridge and we expect to see a lot of him from now on.
