And now the day of the 40th Reunion is at hand. All you have to do is to pack up and come along. Bring the whole family with you and prepare to stay to the end. With one or two minor changes, which will improve it a lot, the program of events remains as it was outlined in the class report. Arrangements for your entertainment in Hanover have been completed, and everything is set for yon to enjoy yourselves as only '99ers can. On this date, May 5, fifty men with thirty-four dependents have said they would be there. This is good, but not good enough. We must break the 1934 record. Come on, you laggards, sign up.
DON'T FORGET TO MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS THROUGH THE BURSAR'S OFFICE ON THE FORMS YOU RECEIVED MAY THE FIRST.
Due to insurmountable obstacles of time and distance, the post-reunion tour has been shortened to a trip to Stonywall in Ossipee and Clarkland in Plymouth. It will take two days, Monday and Tuesday. Get aboard for a grand trip.
Willis Hodgkins writes from Oracle, Arizona, that he is limbering up a bit on the piano so as to be in good form to pound the ivories "for the best bunch of singers in the land." Willis will positively appear at the reunion. If he can make it, why can't you?
Peddy Miller has his men's dinner program in the works. Rely on Peddy to make it novel and worthwhile. He has a highsounding name for it, too. Wait and see.
The Secretary was in Hanover May 12 and 13 in attendance on the annual meeting of the Secretaries' Association and incidentally to look the ground over and consult with the Hanover '99ers on final arrangements for the reunion.
Herb Rogers is a grandfather. The young hopeful* is Stephen Parker Bachelder, born April 22, 1939, at Portland, Maine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip A. Bachelder.
Joe Gannon has received from the Governor of New Hampshire a complimentary hunting and fishing license for the year 1939 "in recognition of your known great interest in and affection for the state." Verily spring is here at last.
On April 23 Warren Kendall and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Staley entertained the Secretary in Washington, D. C. A grand time was had by one and all. In April also the Kendalls, Staleys, and Ray Pearls enjoyed their annual springtime '99 Reunion in Washington.
Bob Johnston is planning a trip to Geneva this summer. He wants to get as near the fireworks as he can. However, Bob will take in the real show first:
