Robert Connelly is newly appointed to the Alumni Council. Bob has been residing in Kentucky for the past 15 years and is practicing law. Occasionally he has a drink with Alan MacDonald, district enrollment director for the Dartmouth Club of Kentucky. Alan is a partner with Frost Brown Todd, LLC, in Louisville, the home of the Kentucky Derby and a college basketball town.
Elizabeth Michelman is in the news lately. Elizabeth has been busy with the sculpture installation Vox Clamantis, which is to sit at the entrance to the Hopkins Center. Elizabeth works out of her studio in Waltham, Massachusetts. She is married to another '77, David Jones. In addition to being an artist, Elizabeth is a lawyer by profession. Drew Kintzinger has moved from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Seattle, Washington. He joined a law firm in Seattle and is continuing his work in public finance. Gus Davis is in Birmingham, Alabama. Gus is an advocate and developer for affordable public housing. What is interesting about him is that he has his own radio talk show. Lawrence Hendrix came to Dartmouth from Columbus, Ohio, but may have moved to Florida recently. If anyone see or hears from him, let me know!
Thanks to the leadership of Mark Siegel, the class is involved in some really neat projects. The class will still support Dicks House, a very good project. This year the class will provide money for the Student Health Advisory Committee. We have adopted a second class project, the Dartmouth Partners in Community Service, which sponsors internships through the Tucker Foundation. In that program we provide a $2,500 stipend per semester and mentoring of a Dartmouth undergrad.
Missed out on the Dartmouth at Brown football game this fall in Providence due to a conflict. I hope to see several classmates at Club Officers Weekend in March.
