Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Davis have the honor to announce the marriage of their daughter Sally Bradford to Mr. Thornton Frederick Bradshaw on Saturday the eighth of May, 1940 at Harwichport, Mass. Ted was in Hanover for Commencement and David, who is a Junior this year, was on duty at various functions where ushers were necessary.
Ed Stiles wrote in May, just too late to make the column, from Trail, British Columbia: "Most of our classmates are perhaps thinking their sons, if any, will soon be at Dartmouth. My eldest will more likely be fighting in Europe before another year is gone. I see Dr. Ray Schulte in Spokane, Washington now and then. In March I ran into some Dartmouth men at Sun Valley, Idaho while I was there for a few days of skiing. Most important was H. W. Higman '06, of Seattle who told me how to build a cheap ski tow in my home ski country here."
L. S. Riford is president of the Beacon Milling Company, Inc., Cayuga, N. Y. Dave Morey is as keen as ever about his work and life at Wilbraham Academy. He says to all Thirteeners that he will "assist with meticulous care the progress of any of their young hopefuls who may come to this lovely spot."
Carl Shumway had his usual two weeks flying duty at the Naval Air Station, Lakehurst, N. J. He flew practically every day and on one got in over 12 hours.
Howard Stoughton has moved out to Mountain Lakes, New Jersey at 210 Laurel Hill Road.
Albert and Jessie Kilbourn remember with a great deal of pleasure the tenth reunion when they were honeymooners. They have three daughters all giving good accounts of themselves. Jessie was in California in August as delegate to the meeting of the General Council of Congregational Churches.
Volney Jenkins is now in Amsterdam, N. Y. and living on Northampton Road. We hope for more news of him this Fall.
Nathan C. Lenfestey, for twenty years cashier of the National City Bank, was elected a vice president by the Board of Directors in July. Nate also retains the title of cashier.
"Hap" Atwood was elected to the Alumni Council from Minneapolis for three years from June, 1940 so he attended the June meeting of the Council in Hanover. Don Cunningham and Warde Wilkins, both re-elected for their second term of three years each, also attended the meeting. Jack Nelson came up from Manchester for our "off year" reunion and to play golf with "Hap," winning with an 84 from Hap's 86.
The McAllisters were in Hanover to see young Harold graduate. Marion and "T. D." Jewett, George Knight and Bart Shepard, Clayton Fairbanks with his nephew entering this Fall, Jiggs Donahue and his wife, George McClary with his wife and daughter, Carl and Grace Forsaith and Ted Davis, as we have mentioned, were all in Hanover. Of course, the Conants, Frenches and Fred Page were having their usual busy times finishing the college year.

"Hank" Merrill, son of "Tubby" Mer- rill, finished his P. G. course at M. I. T and became a meteorologist in June, gothimself a job in Lima, Peru, so:

There was a reception at 141 Lookoni Road immediately following the cere mony for a large number of friends including many Dartmouth people. "Hant and his bride left the following Thursday by boat for South America and now areal Panagra, Lima, Peru.
Phil Sauer joined the grandfather claS as Philip Jr., who spent one year at Hanover in the class of '39, became a father of a nice little girl on February 11th the year. Phil says he is trying to keep the woll from breaking down the door at his house for he seems to have camped with his whole family right on the doorstep. He Phil, sends his regards to all in the class.
Rollo Hutchinson was last May at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii for liberty and recreation having just completed training in the; Pacific. He is senior medical officer on the U S. S. Colorado. His chief worry is to locate a legal residence in one of the three states where he now pays taxes.
Pop Warren is more than busy with committee work on Flood Control in Orange, Mass. He is a hard worker for the Chamber of Commerce and outside of that keeps a couple of girls in college and has a boy coming along headed towards school. Minute Tapioca made him vice president the first of this year.
Parker Trowbridge was made chairman of the Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Republican State Committee, whereupon he became an animal trainer and ended up riding one of the three Willkie elephants in Worcester. The Worcester mayor and another political big shot accompany Parker. We are indebted to Howard Booth '24 of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette for the splendid likeness of our man Trowbridge.
