Another year and some more rehashes of the same old stuff.
This summer has seen the ranks of I single men in our class thinned out considerably, and as there is nothing so important to anyone as his own marriage, here are some of the lucky ones or unlucky ones if you hold to the credo of better to have loved and lost than wed and be forever bossed. Out in Rockford, Ill. lumberman john Holmquist landed Beth Welsh Cincinnatus Walt Beinhart became the husband of Gwendolyn Becker Sub Harris proved that a thinning head of hair is no deterrent by adding Miss Harriet Fenlon of N. Y. to his family Also in N. Y. Art "Spider" Toan scored with Miss Ethel Gudmundsen, and up in West Hartford, Margaret Louise Hitchcock married our own Joe Carson.
Just to show these fellows how far behind the peerade they are Miss Rebecca Brooks made a threesome out of the Charl ie Brooks family back in May. Fourth for bridge?

Short cheer of the month should go to Sturges Dick Dorrance who has been quietly doing a swell job ever since graduation. For three years he worked for station WOR in various capacities—among them announcer—but has now left that group to sound the praises of the new frequency modulation or "staticless radio." The letterhead of FM Broadcasters Inc. of 52 Vanderbilt Ave., N. Y. shows "Dick Dorrance, Director of Promotion." It must be tough to have a name so close to that of Dartmouth's greatest skier but '36s Dorrance seems to be doing pretty well on his own.

J. utilities—their employer being N. J. Bell Tel. Camp is down off the poles now we believe, and Shaw is titled Traffic Superin- tendent.
I'm fatter this fall, but news is slimmer. One guy complained when he chipped in his dough to Shertz that the only time the class seems to know that he exists is when the call for cash comes. Don't be bashfulsend in some news—l do not read minds. Bob Shertz and Charlie Stern are draftdodging in the Naval Reserve. Both have already made their month's cruise as have other classmates—who, I'm not sure. Johnny Schulz is a second lieutenant in the U. S. Third Cavalry. Who would have thought in June, 1936 that we'd all be wondering just what sort of service we ought to go into.

He is now one of those junior executives we hear about—with Ponds Extract Cos.
More weddings—Jack Morrison and Ruth Holland. This is a romance with a story, but all that we'll say is that both Ruth and Jacko were working in the Bk. of New York. Jack still is—credit man. .... Here's a natural. Harry Louis Couronnis whom all classmates will remember as the successor to the famous Hanover house of Hackit, Packit and Whackit is a partner in—you guessed the business—a cleaning shop in Nashua. Couronnis Cleaners
Here's another. Class instrumentalist Ralph Silverman teaches the violin at the Longly School of Music in Cambridge. Zebulon Waters White is supervising an Ohio forest survey. In case you don't recognize the name it is that of long chubber
"Bud" White who is now an M.F. from Yale Roy Coppedge is a barrister having finished Columbia Law last year. Same goes for Paul Lynch Nox Howard was studying law down at Charlottesville. Not sure whether he is finished yet or not Clark Sorenson sports a fancy title for Goodrich in Akron. He is "Assistant Personnel Director.". .. .Dick Vail's a division superintendent in Bamberger's— Newark.
The leaves are turning and we'd sure give our shirt to be heading home to Hanover the way the kid brothers are doing, but since they only give us four years upthere the next best thing is to hear from: others who feel the same way and get the same smell of autumn in their nostrils that we do. Spring fever is fine, but there's nothing like the fall to bring on Dartmouth nostalgia. How about a letter.
