We have heard rumors that 23 letters had been written to the secretary ready to slip into the mail on November 6th, for such was the confident expectation that Nov. 5 would produce the long desired result. Not one has as yet reached this office except Doc Longue who delivered his message in person. The rest we must condude had a shock caused by either exultation or dismay.
However Doc assures us that he expects all our men will recover. So that's the good news for this issue except that Doc says he has had cataracts removed from both eyes this summer. If he is telling the truth, he is in fine physical and mental condition and he looks it.
Let's all have our eyes operated on.
Secretary, 11 Oak St., Belmont, Mass.
