CLUB HOUSE REMODELED

The Outing Club House on Occom Pond has long been an outstanding social resource of the D.O.C. Given by the Class of 1900 a decade ago, it has had a hard life, and a busy one. Unfortunately the finances of the Club were not sufficient to provide for much needed additions.

Again the Class of 1900 has come through to bolster up the Club where it needed bolstering most. Through funds given by that class, with some additional contributions, the D.O.C. House has spent a month under the care of some face-lifters.

The kitchen space has been increased by 154 square feet, and much new equipment has been obtained. The working space has been rearranged, and, all in all, the chefs will be happier people.

A new dining room has been added-15 by 23 feet—with a row of windows facing on Occom Pond. It is finished in pine to match the other dining room, and is adjacent to the porch. In the summer service will be greatly improved because of the immediate access to the porch. With the Cabin and Trail room it will now be possible to serve two separate parties, while still maintaining regular service in the other room.
