The Pegasus Publishing Cos. of New York announces the early publication of The Delayed Wedding and other stories by W. I. Coburn.

Speaking of this book, June West (Book Reviewer) says, "The publication of the Delayed Wedding and other stories introduces a new name into the field of the American short story, a name that will be heard often in the future, if these first stories are any indication.

Although W. I. Coburn, the author, is a resident of New England, he knows every section of the country and his keen observation and deep understanding are immediately apparent in his writing.

"His broad experience as a traveler has furnished him with the varied settings of the stories in this first volume.

"These are stories that are always close to human realities. He loves best the scenes and characters of rural New England, but some of his stories are set in the American far west.

"Throughout he is an American first and last, a man proud of his land and its heritage."
