From two sources comes word to the Secretary that Burbank is in a hospital for an operation.

A letter from Sid Walker brings the good news that Mrs. Walker has been improving wonderfully and that the doctors say with reasonable conservation of her physical resources she should get along in fine shape. "She is out on the lawn working moderately among her flowers and climatic conditions have been a great help toward her recovery." The following item about the weather in Honolulu is entertaining at this time for those of us in New England and Florida: "We get an occasional night down to 52° or thereabouts, but the days are warm and balmy so the thrill of a low temperature once in awhile tends to pep us up."
