It is the present purpose of your Secret ary to endeavor to supply as much information as possible in the class notes of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE concerning the remaining living members of our Class.

Appreciating all too well the difficulty of trying to fill the shoes of one of the best class secretaries in the history of Dartmouth, the late beloved and honored James P. Houston, nevertheless, with your willingness to assist I will do my best properly to represent your activities and interests.

With this in mind, your Treasurer, Ben George, has again subscribed one hundred per cent for the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, so that every living member may remain in contact with the course of events at Dartmouth.

To Ben George we all owe a debt of gratitude for his unselfish devotion in maintaining the spirit of the Class and its reputation for generous contributions to the Alumni Fund through all the years.

With the deaths of two of our members in August, the Reverend Dr. Charles A. Dinsmore, and the Reverend Carlos L. Adams, whose necrology notices appear in this issue of the MAGAZINE, our numbers are reduced to fourteen.

This, therefore, is an earnest appeal to those who are still living to carry on in the same spirit of enthusiasm and devotion to the old College that has characterized the Class of 1884 through all its history.
