Eddie McMillan who has been a Philadelphian ever since graduation, has now moved to Portland, Oregon, to be near his only son. His new address is 1747 North Vancouver Street. Eddie left Hanover on the midnight train after our Commencement Ball for Philadelphia and with the exception of two years, 1903 and 1904, spent in New York has been in business there ever since Bunker andPearl Bishop recently had the pleasure of entertaining the George Frenches at Sunday supper, when the Frenches were returning home after a winter spent in Winter Park, Florida. Bunker says Joe Raphael and his sister drop in quite frequently Frank Cudworth was in Boston last month, figuring on a subway station contract. Cuddy, Bunker Bishop and Joe Raphael, were the only 1901 men in attendance at the recent New York Alumni Dinner L. O. Merrill reports that he survived the severe winter well, although the temperature one morning was down to 48 degrees below zero. He has a nephew at Dartmouth who will graduate this June and who was a pilot of a B-29 during the war.
We were pleased to see a recent account of a Dartmouth Alumni dinner held in Louisville, Kentucky and to note our old classmate Walter Butler was in attendance, we hope we will see him at our next reunion BertCloss suffered a back injury last year and had to undergo several operations but he is still able to spade his garden, ride horseback, play golf, swim, skate and play billiards, and is therefore able to give some of the youngsters quite a bit of competition.
Among the classmates wintering in Florida, we note the Jim Kimballs, Rush Newcomb and the Clarence Phelps at Orlando, and the George Frenches and the Hallidays at Winter Park. Frank Halliday was reelected president of the Dartmouth Club of Winter Park, February 27, at the annual meeting HarryClark, who has been severely ill for some time, is now back at his office for part-time work. .... A note from Bill Sykes, written in his usual humorous vein, says all is well with him, and that his farm is on a productive basis.
