PRESIDENT HOPKINS WAS the official representative of Dartmouth College at the program marking the 175th anniversary of the founding of Rutgers University, and was one of the principal speakers at the dinner at Rutgers on October 10. President Hopkins had another speaking engagement on the evening of October 13, when he addressed a dinner meeting of the Associated Industries of Vermont at Woodstock.

Dartmouth's official delegate to the 50th anniversary celebration of the University of Chicago was Prof. William K. Wright of the Philosophy department, and Prof. Ralph A. Burns of the Education department represented the College at the sesquicentennial program of the University of Vermont. Dean Frank W. Garran of Thayer School was one of the speakers at the Vermont exercises.
