'17's Reunion Gift Chairman
December 1941

SUMMY EMERSON, at his Pocono LakePreserve cottage, tells Igloo it's going to bea great day next June, at the generalalumni meeting, when 1917 hands President Hopkins a check—(a fat one?)—as theresult of the contributions we makethrough the CLASS of 1917 FUND. Sumner's letter will go soon to those whocouldn't sign up last winter, explainingthat your gift is purely voluntary, non-recurring, deductible from federal incometax, and can be paid on dates convenientto you (but should not interfere with yourregular Alumni Fund effort next spring).H. Carr, Gile, Halloran, Hutchins, Koeniger, Mason, R. D. Scott, Stockwell, Thielscher, Towler and Walters are assisting theFund Chairman in handling the wholeplan. No doubt, we all want our names onthe list this time?
