Bodwell, Edwin /.—Mrs. Bod well sends a brief account of the passing of E. J. or "Bod" as we called him, on March 19th. There is deep sorrow for one of our most loyal members and one to whom it was always a pleasure to write. Bod you recall was a Vermonter by birth and upbringing and like Sam Nelson did his own thinking, his judgment was not warped by the Midwest or Pacific Coast environment. See June issue for more details.

Clark, John Lew—Card received on April 1 speaks for itself. Quote—"Time for my quarterly report. I can report another grandson!! Christopher John Clark, born March 13th, 1941, at Washington; D. C. Named Christopher Robin (Milne) and for his paternal grandsire. This is no April first joke." Those with grandchildren will understand the literary reference, others may write to John Lew at 25 Elliott St., Exeter, N. H.

Ely, Richard S.—Dick reports a long hard winter "like it used to be when we were very young." Had flu himself but with spring just round the corner feels better.

Hardy, Geo. F.—Letter from Geo. seems to indicate he has found the fountain of perpetual youth not in Florida but at 305 Broadway, Manhattan.

Lougee, W. W —Doc's voice on the telephone indicates he is still the baby of the class, not a care in the world.

Spencer, Henry F.—Expects to return to West Haven during April. Can't stay away from granddaughter any longer. Hope is her name, 14 years, is already taking a leading role in symphony or grand opera (all the same to me) production May 12, at the Yale Auditorium.

Henry says that when you speak to anyone on the street at Winter Park about Pattee, "he talks as an old Roman might of the Gods of High Olympus or a dweller in the Ethereal heights of the Upper Stratosphere." Henry must have been snooping.

Williams, Wendell—sa.ys, winter has been uneventful except for 10 days in bed with flu. Mrs. Williams has not felt equal to their usual trip to Florida. She is feeling better now and they are planning to spend July and August at the Lake Placid Club where they have been for a number of summers.
