John Lew Clark seems to have acquired the habit of adding a new grandchild with considerable regularity. Note the following, just received—"For your vital statistics, born at Richardson House, Boston, on Oct. 5, 1942, a daughter, Marcia P. Stubbs, to Joseph Harold Stubbs and Anne (Clark) Stubbs. Signed, Grandfather VIII."

John Lew and Mrs. Clark were able to spend August in their summer camp in southern N. H., as usual, where they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Congratulations to Rev. and Mrs. John Lew.

Henry F. Spencer— If we were able to print the full story of Henry since his return from Florida in April, as revealed in his letters, he would be elected unanimously to the post of "Class Humorist." But, seriously, Henry seems to have encountered a series of mishaps which com- bined have kept him in bed much of the summer. All resulted from his endeavor to do his part in home defense. His attic must be cleared out "in case."

A correction—Because of my poor writing the November issue of our class notes gave Spencer's and Dunlap's St. Petersburg address as 816 Fourth Ave. North. It was intended to be 316 Fourth Ave. Excuse me.

Berton Williams reports that life in close proximity to an Army base moves along much as usual, except at a somewhat slower pace. (The Sec. wonders if age can possibly be the reason.) Berton also confesses that gasoline restriction has caused him to keep rather close to the home fires. Perhaps the oil rationing will yet force him to join the Florida squad.

A belated dispatch—The Secretary begs leave to reproduce a wire received on April xi, 194.2, from his son Robert, Dartmouth '29: "Robert Douglas Cate, 7 pounds 4, arrived at 7:45 P.M. Everything fine."

In spite of this, our record is only 50% of what John Lew has reached at present.

Word has just been received of the death on October 23 of Charles H. Brock. Necrology notice will appear in the January issue.
