AFTER A RATHER uneventful and sleepy winter, the Dartmouth Club of Central Pennsylvania came to life with a bang. On April 9, 1941, with Bill McCarter as our guest speaker, we held a very enjoyable dinner meeting at the Harrisburg Country Club with the following members in attendance: George Foss '97, H. G. VanRiper '14, J. P. Wadham '03, Neil Buckbee '06, Frank Davenport '38, Haskell Davenport '39, Don Buckbee '34, Sid Milnor '25, Frank Eastman '06, Bill Page '06, Bill Page Jr. '33, Dr. John Fritchey '27, J. M. Wulpi '14, Sam Cunningham, Bo Daniels, Don Cameron, Charlie Boak '32, P. T. Maloy, Herb Bayer '38, John Lyon '35, Dan Taggart '34, Jack Greenwood '36 and John Bogar '29, and with the seven guests it rounded out a very fine meeting.
The nominating committee recommended the reelection of all present officers and they will serve for another year. They consist of H. G. Van Riper, president; Ed Elsenhans and Dan Taggart, vice presidents; Dick Spong, treasurer; and John A. Bogar, secretary.
Bill McCarter brought us a very interesting and timely message, giving us the complete picture of the athletic situation as it now exists at Dartmouth. In addition to his speech, the sound movie "THE FIFTH DOWN" was shown and well received.
An engagement of much interest to all of us was announced during the past week by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Shreiner of Bellvue Park, Harrisburg, whose daughter, Jane, will marry the one and only Herb Bayer of Tyrone.
