I have been looking forward to the year's hockey season with a great deal of hope and expectation. I think we have the makings of a fine team and I have a feeling that we will make it interesting for all our worthy opponents and I hope the team, by its play, will win the admiration and respect of its opponents and followers.

Although we lost the following good players by graduation—Captain Freddy Maloon, "Pidgie" Hughes, Johnny Kelley, Pete Keir and Bill Morrow—their loss is compensated by the addition of some good sophomores.

This year we are playing a twenty-five game schedule and in the course of the season we will play Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Army, Clarkson, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and the St. Nicks which represents about the strongest teams in the United States.

With the addition of Army, the old Quadrangular League has now become the Pentagonal League and the championship should be between Yale, Princeton and Dartmouth, after a terrific fight.

At this writing, this year's personnel shapes up as follows: the goalie situation should be capably handled by Captain Ted Lapres and he has two good understudies in A1 Barrett and Wiley Hitchcock.

The first defensemen are Johnny Krol, Harry Gerber and Stanton Priddy. Other defense candidates are Dick Pleasants, Fred Nichols and John Koslowski, who up till this year reported for basketball.

The first forward line is comprised of: L.W., Dick Rondeau; C., Jack Riley; R.W., Bill Harrison.

The second forward line is comprised of: L.W., Hal Cannon; C., Bill Remsen; R.W., Ralph Dushame.

The third forward line is not determined yet and there is strong competition for these three positions by the following forwards: John Brooks, Stan Wright, John O'Connor, Bob Pelren, Snookie Hughes, Bob Mulhern, Dave Pierson and Ed Roewer.
