The Aubeys, like many other American families, have a son in the service but they know his whereabouts only in a general way.

Fred Bennis writes a very interesting letter from Sullivan Harbor, Maine, proving conclusively that crossing the continent in these days of shortage of tires and gasoline is nothing to be sneezed at. Fred and his sister plan to spend the winter, as usual, at Laguna Hotel, Laguna Beach, Cal.

Joe Bartlett and Phil Patey went to Keith's Theatre on Sept. 9 to see "The Pride of the Yan kees" (life of Lou Gehrig). It will pay any '98er to see it. ,

Ed Chandler of Woodstock, Vt., is gradually rounding into shape for the 1943 reunion of '98 don't miss him.

Denis Crowley and wife spent their vacation at Lenox in the Berkshires. John Eckstorm, in the August ALUMNI MAGAZINE, still looks as though he could amble around the opponents' end.

The Secretary had two pleasant visits with Seth Pope at Sandwich, Mass. Seth favored him with some choice vegetables from his well-kept garden. At Seth's suggestion, he visited the 4-H Club Camp in Bourne, named Camp Farley in honor of George Farley. One hundred and fifty young people spent a happy summer at the camp.

On a postal card from far-off Fairbanks, Alaska, Bill Hewes writes: "Am urged to say 'hello' from this north point. Have been up on the job some weeks, but returning to the states soon. Flying is the accepted transport here and most interesting it is landing on lakes and rivers." He also sent a postal to Pres. Joe Bartlett.

Hats off to Charlie Littlefield on his fine work on the Alumni Fund Dartmouth College and all of '98 are proud of him.

George Lockwood keeps steadily at his task as interpreter for Uncle Sam at Naco, Fred Lord, due to the war's demands, finds himself speeding up instead of letting up in his College assignments.

Seth Moody has written two most interesting letters lately to the Secretary; his hobby is geneology.

Doc Nolan is home again from a foreign shore Home address: 308 West 97th St., New York City.

The Melvin Smiths spent a delightful winter in Florida.

Ev Snow has received and accepted a call as pastor to the Community Church in Stratham, New Hampshire, 31/2 miles from Exeter, N. H. Ruth and Ev are looking forward to taking up the work with all the enthusiasm of their first pastorate.
