You will recall that in the June issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE I announced that on March 29, Ilsley celebrated his 75th birthday—the youngest man in the class by some months. As you look at his picture which, accompanies these notes X am sure you will agree with me that he looks like the youngest. Don't think he is putting anything over on us. This picture was taken after March 29.
The Geigers got home from their Pacific Coast trip the middle of July and have been busy catching up with their garden. The Hanover Gazette of July 22 gave them an extended write up, with a picture of the Geiger School which is to be.
Geiger's trip did not prevent him from doing his usual good job on the Alumni Fund. '92 ranks fourth on the Participation Index, as it did last year. Its second place position in percentage of objectives, where for some years it has held first place, is not due to any decrease in the giving but to a sudden spurt by '88.
Word has just reached me that Mrs. JesseBarton died at her home in Newport, N. H. on August 22. For many years she has been active in womens' civic and social circles. Mrs. Barton was born in Hoosick Falls, N. Y. and married Jesse in 1911. They had two children, James W. Barton of Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Daniel C. Cotton of Cohasset, Mass. You will recall that Jesse died in June 1943.
In Memoriam carries a brief account of Randall's life. Mrs. Randall, who will live in No. Berwick, Me. for the present, has written most appreciatively of the flowers, and letter which carried to her the sympathy of the class.
STILL YOUTHFUL AT 75: Arthur B. Ilsley '92, young- est member of his class, clearly looks the part according to this "very recent photograph/'
