After the Harvard-Dartmouth game on October 17, the 1903 attendants dined at the Hotel Commander in Cambridge. Surprises were the order of the evening. On arrival Rhoda Howard MacDuff and her 3year-old son were awaiting Grandpa and Grandma Pip and Jane Howard. Rhoda early in life became the idol of the class at reunions. Her husband is an officer of the Army Air Corps, and already the little fellow's wings are sprouting.
During the dinner a wedding party, direct from ceremonies at Stoneham, entered the room headed by Otis and Florence Mudge. Introduction of the bride and groom, Lieut, and Mrs. Edwin B. Mudge, the bride a graduate of Wellesley and the groom of Dartmouth, class of 1934, of the father and mother of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Waterhouse, and a bevy of attendants followed. It was a gala occasion and the honor paid us will long be remembered.
Edwin is a lieutenant in the Army Air Corps, attending a course at the Harvard Business School, and anticipates early service.
Then came the announcement of Gordon Bennett's engagement to Miss Edith Leadbetter of Swampscott, Mass. Gordon, Dartmouth '38, son of Dr. and Mrs. Hamlin Bennett of Swampscott, is at present on service at the Boston City Hospital.
