THE ATTENDANCE AT ALUMNI functions is not so large, and there are few representatives of recent classes, but the local association's activities are being regularly maintained. From among our "regulars," twenty-two are now serving Uncle Sam directly.

In Sept., we took advantage of the undergraduate speaker service sponsored by Palaeopitus and had as our guest on the gth, Charles Webb '43. Forty-five students, fathers, and Alumni attended this luncheon for undergraduates. It would be a pleasure to repeat this type of meeting and to have as our speaker, one who would represent the students as ably as Mr. Webb.

Dartmouth Night was celebrated on Oct. 8th with a gathering at the University Club with Karl Maerker 'lO and Bill Eaton '17, our President, as sponsors and hosts. While the number present left something to be desired, it was a good evening of Dartmouth fellowship and song.

The Scholarship Fund Benefit this year took the form of an entertainment at the University Club on Nov. 7th. Ace Miller '34 and Sawyer Kier '29 headed the program and arrangements committees, which means they lined up purposeful and effective games to fill the Scholarship coffers. The feature hit of the evening was provided by Dick Husband '26 and Bob Chittern '30 in an "Information Please" skit which, with an "unrehearsed" board of experts added further to the evening's proceeds.
