Springfield, Mass.

The Annual Dinner of the Dartmouth Club of Springfield was held April 3 at the Longmeadow Country Club, Longmeadow, Mass.

Approximately one hundred enthusiastic alumni heard Robert A. (Red) Rolfe describe the current athletic situation in Hanover.

Raymond J. Fontana '45 gave a resume of the activities of the Enrollment Committee during the past year and plans for the future. Fontana also received the award given annually to the person who has done the most for Dartmouth in the Springfield area during the preceding year.

Several guests were present from the Hartford and Holyoke Clubs. Among the other guests were Walter Graham, editor of the Springfield Republican; Robert Berry, Supervisor of Physical Education in the Springfield Public Schools, and Samuel L. Thompson who thought he was at a Brown Club meeting in the Springfield Country Club.

The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, F. Warren Miller '40; Vice President, William Orr II '44; Secretary, Maurice E. Park '44; Treasurer, Raymond M. Seabury Jr. '41; Enrollment Chairman, Raymond J. Fontana '45. Enrollment Committee: Richard L. Danforth '29, George F. Weston '23, Kenneth E. Nicholson '45 and Raymond L. Barrett Jr. '46.
