The most frequently recurring news on the cards is the "I'm a grandfather" announcement. No one has caught up with Campion's six, but some are not far behind. Bruce Lewis has four, Sherm Baketel, three - all boys - and a fourth due, of all times, June 10.... Dick Barnstead has four, Virg McNeil, three, Carroll Shepard, three, and the following have two: Monk Davenport, Stew Hoagland, Don McKay, Sonny Middlebrook, Rufe Munsell, Loren Stevens, Fritz Titus, Al Willey, and Clark Blyth, whose twin grandsons were born in Munich, December 16, 1956. Add to the pleased grand-dads the following who can boast of only one: Sid Bogar, Horace Brown, Paul Cutler, Eddie Reece, Jack McGrath, Hank Moore, Ken Robbie, Lawson Van Riper and John Lyman, who gets under the wire by claiming he is to be a grandfather soon. If your name should be on the above list, then stand up and be counted.
Graduations this June were the next most popular theme: Nancy Atkinson graduates from Miami University (Ohio); Reliance Kinne and Ann Howard from Wellesley, unfortunately just at Reunion time; Judith Hansis graduates from Simmons on June 10; Chick Davis' son, C. F. Jr., graduates from Washington & Lee; and Horace Brown's daughter, Ginger, graduates from Michigan State University. About 18 of our classmates will be in Hanover, June 9, to see their sons graduate, but we'll have to get the complete list from Hanover.
