Second honors went to the Clifford J. Scott High School of East Orange, N. J., whose three representatives had a com- bined average of 2.86; and third place went to Phillips Academy, Andover, Mass., whose four representatives achieved 2.75. Other ranking delegations in order were: Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, N. H., 24 men, 2.68; Hanover High School, four men, 2.60; Evanston Township High School, Evanston, Ill., three men, 2.53.

Last year, for the first time since the Dartmouth Plaque was instituted, the freshman scholastic award went to Hanover High School, whose four representatives had a combined average of 3.15. The Plaque, engraved with the names of the winning delegates, is sent each year to the winning school to be hung permanently at the school.
