Tuttle, aiding the United States Government in its war effort (and the Government aiding Tuttle), has certainly done a remarkable job. He has just taken me over to see it. I have come away with a general dazed impression of shining floors and walls extending way into the perspective; long corridors of baking ovens, cots, pingpong tables, etc. Knowing Hiram you will not be surprised to learn that he is away ahead of his schedule.
In going to Mt. Cardigan on a skiing trip, from which I have just returned, I stopped at a Howard Johnson restaurant on the Daniel Webster Highway in the outskirts of Nashua. An oil portrait of Daniel Webster hung on the wall. Beneath it was a brass plate reading:
"This painting was given to the Howard Johnson's Daniel Webster Grille by the late attorney Carl H. Richardson of Boston, the remainder of the memorabilia was bequeathed to Dartmouth College." This refers to Richardson, Class Secretary of '96.
If you think that there is danger of bombing where you keep your will, it might be wise to keep a copy somewhere else.
