THE MEETING ON MARCH 13th at the Wyomissing Club was called rather hastily. Your Secretary mailed notices only to those who could not be reached by telephone. For this reason we did not expect our attendance to number over 10. Imagine our surprise when 17 of the boys presented themselves that evening.

We were indeed fortunate to secure Mr. P. H. Chase '07 of Philadelphia as a speaker. Mr. Chase outlined the history of the Alumni Council and then gave us a very clear picture of the functions and activities pursued by the Council today.

After this enlightening talk, officers were elected for 1943: Bud Erdman '37, president, Louis Ekstrom '12, vice-president, your scribe secretary-treasurer.

As indicated in the March MAGAZINE, we succeeded in persuading Johnny Mullen '38 to break away long enough to give us the lowdown on life in the Army. Johnny was compelled to censor some of the things he would liked to have told us, while we, on the other hand, must delete entirely a swell story Johnny told about his sergeant.

The following men attended the meeting; Louis Ekstrom 'l2, Andy Marshall '22, Bob Simonds '25, A 1 Thurn '25, Kingsbury Badger '29, Milt Shultz '3O, Jim Rick '3l, Jack Loose '33, Charlie Pyewell '34, Freddie Koller '36, Bud Erdman '37, Dude Krum '38, Johnny Mullen '38, Tom McGrath '38, Les Terry '39, Red Gordon '40, Bill Hotaling '41.

Two new faces seen at the meeting were those of Les Terry '39 of Easton and Bill Hotaling '4l of Bethlehem. We hope to see them often.

Bill Wyne '34, our Lebanon correspondent, reported early in March that he had enlisted in the Naval Air Corps. By this time Bill is no doubt located at a Naval Air Station
