THE DARTMOUTH CLUB of Cleveland, having resumed the regular Saturday luncheons at the Mid-Day Club, properly launched the 1943-44 season with the election of officers for the coming year at the meeting of October 3. After the dust had cleared, it was discovered that the entire slate presented by the nominating committee had been swept into office. Headed by Ray Barker '33 as president (who practically immediately dashed off to Chicago to recover from the shock) the slate includes Spence Cram '31, and Dr. Cliff Vogt '30, as first and second vice presidents, respectively; Bob Palmer '34, secretary; Bax Fullerton '36, assistant secretary; Lee Chilcote '30, who was reelected by popular acclaim to his post of treasurer; and Herb Moatz '33, assistant treasurer.

The Club, under the guidance of Russ Treadway, finished up a successful '42-'43 year. We actually had a treasurer who kept books, which perhaps accounts for his overwhelming re-election (Washington papers please copy).

Plans for appropriate celebration of Dartmouth Night on November 5 are now under way and will be announced shortly to all Alumni in the Cleveland territory.

We cordially invite all Dartmouth men passing through Cleveland to join us for a Saturday bite at the Mid-Day Club atop the Union Commerce Building. We can almost guarantee that there will be an extra pat of snow-white oleo for you and we'd enjoy seeing you.
