A V-mail letter just received from Lt. Hank Leach says, "Last night in an American Officers Club here on the edge of a blazing desert in India, whom should I meet (at the bar, of course) but Lt. Bill Monaco, of the great and famous Class of '28! Bill is a transient here, as I am, and we're going out in different directions; but we held a big reunion right on the spot, and it was like meeting a refreshing breeze from New Hampshire here among the camels. Although Bill had been here only 24 hours, he already knew of a place to buy Scotch that I hadn't even heard of, so the evening was a success from every standpoint. Later there must have been some vocalizing when I drove Bill to his quarters across the desert in a jeep, because today I heard three camel-drivers trying to reconstruct 'Dartmouth's In Town Again' with Hindustani words."
Another small '2B reunion took place at the Army Air Field, Harlingen, Texas, which is only a stone's throw from Mexico. Capt. Cal Billings picked up his 'phone and who should say hello, and later appear, but Major Curley Prosser. He and three other officers were down from Washington, looking over typical fields. Curley saw Capt. Dan Hatch in Santa Ana, California, where Dan is a WAC recruiter doing famously.
