On the back of a birthday card to Creighton Hart, I finally got around to thanking him for loaning the 50th reunion hobby show a beautifully illustrated book of some of the gems (in color) of his stamp collection. For years he has been editor of the 1847 section of the U.S. Philatelic Classics Society magazine and has won awards at many International Philatelic Exhibits in this country and abroad.
Creighton spoke by invitation before the Royal Philatelic Society in London in February. There is going to be an international stamp show in London in 1980, and he expects to exhibit there. He retired three years ago from a finance company he founded in Kansas City, Mo. Creighton says "Stamp collecting and collecting historical manuscripts has been a great hobby and unexpectedly a profitable one. Both his sons graduated from Dartmouth, and a granddaughter is currently a sophomore at the College.
George Davis sent a card from Naples, Fla., saying, "Tell Mary I did my two miles on my 73rd. Not bragging, just so grateful." Mary jogs over three miles a day, six days a week at the Troy race track, in spite of zero weather, snow or rain. She says the exercise makes her feel wonderful.

Bob's hobbies are reading and visiting their children and nine grandchildren.
Dorothy and Al Lathrop have provided in their will a bequest of $100,000 to Dartmouth to establish scholarship funds for native Americans. Stew Hoagland's class newsletter beat us with the news, but we thought it would interest many of our readers from other classes.

Wat and Eleanor Dickerman, whose ocean travels have long been a delight to read about, may make the Norway Coastal Steamer next summer on what they say "will probably be our last long trip. After that we'll probably settle for the Delta Queen and other closer-in jaunts."
Cal and Genie Billings drove down to Heritage Village a few days ago for their periodic bridge set-to with Craig and EleanorHaines. Craig and Milt Hoefle showed Cal the very nice workshop the people in the Village may use for handicrafts.
Harry Davis, former head of the Department of Speech and Theater at Lehigh University, says he and Libby enjoy their retirement in Bethlehem, and once in a while Stretch directs a play at the Presbyterian Church. They plant 400 spring bulbs each fall and wait for May and June to enjoy the beautiful blooms. They spend the summer months in their cottage on Boulder Ave., Stonington, Conn.
We recently received a note from StewWright's daughter-in-law advising that Stew died last spring; we are waiting for more information. A letter just came from Bill Hudson '29 in Alexandria, saying that Dave McCathie suffered a cardiac arrest and died suddenly on March 4 in Alexandria. Dave moved there from Florida a year ago to be nearer his only daughter. Our deep sympathy goes to their families.
