THE DARTMOUTH CLUB of New Haven held an evening after-dinner meeting on Friday, October 29th. It was attended by about forty members, wives and friends. Charles E. Widmayer '30, director of the Dartmouth News Service and newly appointed editor of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE gave a very interesting talk on present day Dartmouth under the Navy V-12 program and the tremendous changes it involved in administrative, financial, and educational set-up. Refreshments were served afterward, while an informal question period was carried on. It proved to be a very enjoyable meeting.

Dartmouth men of Hartford are quite active in the Red Cross war effort. Charlie Rice '23 is overseas with the Red Cross. Van Vosburgh '2a is chairman of the Blood Bank in Hartford and George Alger '26, executive secretary of the Blood Bank. Francis Fenn is also active in the Blood Bank making contacts with industrial firms in Hartford for donors.

Among the many Dartmouth men in the Western Club to go into service are Jack Keating '3O and Doc Roberts '23. Hal Rider '25, Male Edgerton 'O6, and Ev Robie 'l7 have been more than busy in the Stamford War and Community Fund Drive just finished. Win Batchelder 'l9, not content with only his new president's chair of the Dartmouth Club of New York is now a new member of the Darien Board of Education.
