"Buck" Chandler, Joe Bartlett and the secretary were at the Dartmouth Boston dinner February 4th: '96, '97, '98 sat together. Charlie Littlefield was in town attending the Alumni Fund Agents meeting but could not stay to take in the dinner. May we all emulate Charles in his faithfulness to this very important work for Dartmouth.
Plans are under way for an informal reunion of '98 for its 45th year out of old Dartmouth: Stand by for further news.
A man ninety years of age in Stratham, N. H., where "Ev" Snow has a church, told him that this was the most severe winter he had encountered. "Ev" thinks inasmuch as Ruth and he have faced the worst N. H. can produce and survive that next winter will hold no terrors.
Jack Spring has been having an anxious time due to the illness of wife and daughter, but happily both are now on the way to recovery.
The secretary called on Denis Crowley recently at his commodious office at the Federal Building. He found him looking hale and hearty and presiding with dignity over an entire room of good-looking subordinates—mostly of the feminine persuasion.
Our '98 picture this month is of Ruth Montgomery, only child of our "Monty": Miss Ruth is a graduate of Middlebury College, where she completed the fouryear course with credit and is now happily employed with the Aetna Insurance Cos., Hartford, Conn. Mrs. Montgomery is employed in the Emma Pendleton Bradley Home, East Providence, Rhode Island—an endowed hospital for children.
Ted Leggett and Mrs. Leggett left for Florida, February 15. May sunshine and orange blossoms be with them and may "Ole Man Winter" let up on us.
It becomes my sad duty to announce the death on February 8 of our loyal and kindhearted classmate, Israel Aubey. See InMemoriam for further notice.
Miss Ruth M. Montgomery, Middlebury'42, daughter of the late Charles D. Mont-gomery '9B.
Secretary, 57 Grove Hill Ave., Newtonville, Mass.
