Early this year the Valley News ran a feature article on Carroll Edson. Condensing it considerably, we report that it concerns his lifelong involvement in Boy Scouting. Our graduation coincided with the establishment of this youth organization in the United States, and Carroll, residing in New York City, became interested and followed it all the rest of his active days. Also established was the Order of the Arrow. Scouting summer activities took him into Sea Scouting in the New Jersey and Philadelphia areas. He married Hazel Partridge in 1919. She died in 1975. The family roots have been in Vermont, and Carroll returned there after her death. With a son in Hanover as Dartmouth College comptroller, it seemed wise to move closer, so he is now living in Windsor, where his many scouting trophies make his quarters a regular museum. He saw military service in both World Wars and and holds the rank of lieutenant colonel. But Scouting holds his interest more than any military record.

By this time, Dorothy Sisson will have returned to Northport, Mich., from her winter in Ormand Beach, Fla. She missed reunion in 1979. We will hope to see her in 1984.
