GREETINGS TWOTERS: Norm Crane has been promoted to Major in the Medical Corps. You may recall these columns mentioned a few months ago that Norm went into service as a captain and his advancement took place just about a month ago. He was good enough to write and to forward a clipping, which was gratefully received. He is assistant port surgeon at the Hampton Roads Port of Embarkation at Newport News, Va., and has been there for sometime. He reports that Bob Bradish, former Twoter, is port surgeon at the New Orleans Port of Embarkation.

In case some of you Washington-bound Twoters, want to get in touch with Clif Watson, remember that he is Chief of the Textile Mill Maintenance section of the WPB. Clif is presently living at 500 High St., Alexandria, Va„ but still retains his Charlotte, N. C„ address as home plate.

I had the great pleasure of seeing Chick Busher, Bronx realtor, during a February trip to New York. I was unable to chat for more than a few minutes with him but have promised myself a more leisurely visit the next time I am in his bailiwick.

And speaking of real estaters, a recent notice announces the January 18th birth of Joanna Belle Leavitt Johnson, daughter of the Eddie Johnsons. After having been associated with Chick Busher for nine years more or less, Ed is now affiliated with the real estate division of the East River Savings Bank, New York, but still lives in the Bronx at 2119 Valentine Avenue.

During one of my recent New York trips, I had lunch with Gene Hotchkiss who was on Eastern business for Lee Higginson & Cos. He was looking hale and hearty and very enthusiastic over his new connection with Jack Blunt's firm. Gene reports that Jeannette is actively engaged in civilian defense activities. Frank is about ready to go into the Army, and the twins are in high school. Gene gave me a good report on the Chicago bunch, some of whom I hope to see in person in the not too distant future.

And a few days later I had a highball with Frank Horan.
