In going over the files of the Concord, N. H. Monitor, I find in the January 12th issue a poem which I cannot refrain from having inserted in these notes, as follows:
A Tribute to H. C. P.
Into the void all unafraid Our friend has gone, and it has made A vacancy here that none can fillOf honest purpose and intrepid will.
He loved his God and his fellow man; His was the soul of a gentleman A gentleman of the old-time school When Truth and Gallantry was the rule.
His Column was full of Cheery bits, No words to hurt, nor nasty hits And his kindly comments and words of praise Made skies look brighter for many days.
A brilliant writer has gone to his rest, And while we bow to God's behest, We can but say with tear dimmed eyes, His precious memory we will prize.
Yes, somewhere out in limitless space Our friend is resting from Life's hard race;
And all that is left to you and me Is a "Hail and farewell" to H. C. P.

We have received quite a number of letters from Classmates in response to President Cox's request for information to be used in our 50th Year Report, which your Secretary is hoping will be issued in June. Those of you who have not sent in letters, please do so at once.
Also do not overlook the necessity of your subscription to the Alumni Fund.
