On March 15, Trustees of the Middlesex County Extension Service of Massachusetts announced the appointment of Bill Slayton as Farm Labor Supervisor. He has already begun the duties for which his fifteen year tenure as Superintendent of Waltham Schools provides a valuable working background as it is expected that the expanded spring and summer farm program must find the main source for labor among the women of the community and the high school boys and girls. We hereby draft Bill to tell us of his agricultural experience and success at the fall roundup.

An error was made in the last announcement of Dan Colesworthy's address, so please note that the correct home address is 845 Westfield Road, Scotch Plains, N. J., and the office address of his Steamship business is 39 Broadway, New York City. Dan has a daughter living in Middlebury, Vermont, and we hope those of us living in the neighborhood of Hanover may see him when pleasure driving again becomes pleasure driving.

Johnson's grapevine includes a brief message from the energetic Blanchard with a characteristic picture of Peacham himself, which would be reproduced in our column, if the scarcity of copper plate did not hold cuts to a minimum; indicates that he is well and busy.

Chick Weston's son, Perry, after finishing Dartmouth and Tuck School, secured a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and went into the production management department of the Van Norman Machine Tool Cos. the last of May, 1941. He is still there in charge of a department, his company having convinced authorities that he was of greater service to the Nation in this undermanned essential industry, than in actual service.

Cloyd Maynard's son, Ralph '31, returned from South America more than a year ago, was in charge of tank production for his company a few months, then decided he must enter the service. He is now Ist Lieut., Cos. F, 2nd Bn„ 304 th Ordnance Regiment, Camp Flora, Miss. Last November Ralph married Katherine Proctor, Swarthmore '38, a daughter of former Governor of Vermont. Cloyd's older son, Tom '29, is married, has two children and is principal of the Wells (Maine) High School. Bates College granted Tom a Master's degree last June.

Sam says his only child, a daughter, is working in an Army post exchange at Miami Beach, Florida. Sam indicates that from frequent meetings with Myron Witham and Percy Ladd, they are both going strong, Myron in the mathematics department of University of Vermont and Percy as Minister of the College. Street Cong. Church, Burlington, Vermont, is fortunate to have such a trio of 'O4 men among its citizens.

Li Holton's son, George, went into the Army last September, has finished a course at Sheppard Field, Texas, is now an aviation cadet at Boca Raton Field, Fla., for six weeks' training, then to Yale for six weeks, when he will receive a rating of 2nd lieut. as an aviation engineer. Li's office is at 53 West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, where he may be found daily, and one of the interesting trips he hopes to make in the near future is with Peacham to Woodstock, 111., to see Earl Herman. What a lot of enthusiasm these fellows have for Dartmouth, the Class and each other. I have wished many times that they might all migrate to New England.
