WRITER OF THE MONTH

The following letter comes from Chet Wiggin:

"Just a line, and unfortunately my first one to this column to let you know that another member of the '39 Marine Corps is O.K.

"I chanced across a copy of the February issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE today. I can assure you that I felt slight twinges of nostalgia as I sat beneath a cocoanut palm and wistfully studied the winter scene on the cover. New Hampshire would certainly look good to me now. As for my history since graduation: I attended Boston University Law School for three years—attaining no great scholastic distinction, but graduating. During that time I served a term in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. I took and passed the New Hampshire bar exam last spring and immediately enlisted in the Marine Corps. Commissioned in October, I am serving in the South Pacific. Beer in White River and dates at North Hamp. seem very far off now. However, I hope to catch up on lost time when this business is over.

"No marital ties as yet. "Best Regards to you and the class of '39. "Sincerely, "Chet Wiggin."

Please send letters, photos and information so that this column can be more lengthy.

Do not forget the Alumni Fund. Get your contributions in now for the fund closes June 30. Do not wait until the last minute.
