Edward "Rochester" Woodman who has been connected with the Railway Express Co., for a great many years, most of the time at the North Station, Boston, has now retired, and is enjoying his leisure-time, well deserved, after years of constant and efficient service with the Express Co.
This last July Bill Sykes retired after years of teaching in the schools of Porto Rico. He spends his time on his farm in the hills where he raises most of his table needs, and also cultivates Corianda which is sold in the local markets as a pot herb. Bill had a long bout with ill health last summer, but is feeling better and is now able to work in his garden. A recent letter gives an interesting description of the small farms in and about the locality where he lives, and something of the lives and character of the natives, and this together with Bill's usual pat expressions and comments is a gem. We surely will look forward to having Bill with us at our next Reunion, and to have a first-hand description of this most interesting island, and described in the usual Bill Sykes picturesque manner.
Steve Stevens, who has been connected with the War Production Board in the Transportation Equipment Division for nearly two years, has been promoted to Acting Chief of the Specialty Unit of the Motive Power Section. This new job requires considerable travelling about the country, so he hopes to contact more classmates personally than he has been able to do for some time.
