In an otherwise quiet election in Sherborn, Allison was the winner for assessor, a re-election.

A pleasant letter from Ferda Fish in reply to my birthday greeting indicated that all was well with him but he is doubtful of the future (religiously) of most of us.

Herbert Hopkins wrote from his winter address 18 West Bth St., Jacksonville, Fla., from April 1 to December 15 he is at St. Simon's Island, Ga., thinks he has only seen one '91 man since graduation—W. O. Smith. Two of his sons are in the Armed Forces, one a lieutenant, and the other a sergeant somewhere in the south Pacific.

O'Brien writes of the birth of the ninth grandchild of the late Dr. Frank W. Plummer, the second son of Mrs. Robert Hale (Deborah Plummer) 1385 Regent Street, Schenectady, N. Y. Her husband is overseas. O'Brien inquires if any other '91 has nine grandchildren. The answers received within a few days indicate that A. W. French has twelve and Herbert E. Sargent has thirteen. Sargent writes he is only teaching forenoons.

The secretary was able to inform O'Brien that while he, Rowe, can only tell of three grandchildren, he is able to tell of the arrival of Nancy Lee Rowe on February 26, the child of Mr. and Mrs. Richard B. Rowe. The grandfather, Frank E. Rowe Jr., is the possessor of the silver cup given him as the first child born to '91.

Stanley discovered the other day he had neglected to contribute to the Class Funds in 1942 so enclosed a check. He also writes that he is thankful to be well and able to get around to a moderate extent."
